Introduction

Using this Parnter API, it is possible for a partner to steer a site. Once we receive a steering request, our Cosmos EMS is then checking the request and translating it into commands for the site's devices, while keeping all the constraints into account.

⚠️ Important
We always treat an external steering input as a recommendation. The EMS will try to follow the recommendation, but it may not always be possible due to constraints. Constraints include device constraints (e.g. maximum charge/discharge power) and grid constraints (e.g. maximum grid import power).

We currently offer two types of steering, asset steering and steering by setting a grid target. The next two pages will explain this in more detail.

These two types of steering can not be used together. Our processing flow will make sure that only the last received steering request of each type is processed.
