aFRR Activation

When working with assets that are active on the aFRR market, it is all about guaranteeing availability. For that reason, we added a register for aFRR activation, which should be set to 1 during an aFRR activation. Two things are happening when this activation signal is set:

Curtail the PV

We request the current active power of the PV installation and limit it to that value. That way, the asset availability can be guaranteed.

Note: The PV curtailment register is not blocked, so signals sent to the PV setpoint register will be followed.

Block asset steering requests from REST APIs

In situations where a site is steered both using the Modbus and REST APIs, we are blocking calls to the REST API. This ensures that only the asset steering signals from the Modbus server are followed.
